This Is How We Do It

I couldn't wait for this long weekend. I was able to catch up on so many things that I really felt I've been slacking on... movies, books, SLEEP, taking pictures, spending quality time with friends and all the important things.  The greatest thing about these last couple of days, though, was definitely the conversations that I was able to be a part of with the people whom mean the world to me. Memorial Weekend always marks the beginning of summer adventures for my boyfriend and I, we have our calendars booked and are ready for the destination tour trips, get away vacays and family get togethers.

Have A Happy & Safe Memorial Day Weekend

Thursday

Excuses Excuses

Just a few simple reasons as to why you should start your Memorial Day weekend vacation this Friday...
Work gets repetitive

Time is of the essence

Testing a NEW approach to walking your dog

Ditching the calorie counter for an extra day- you deserve it

Needing that extra time to make the bed

Waiting on the swimsuit you ordered to be delivered

Catching up on current events

Making memories with friends

Mandatory new outfit luncheon

And for some of us turning one year older on Friday, we simply choose to begin Memorial Day weekend on Thursday. {images:pinterest}

Rustic Remedy

My genuine curiosity keeps bringing me back and fourth between a crisp, clean, color defined ambiance to a rustic, nuzzled chaos of color. I'm withered to the point that I justifiably need one home in the mountains, one by the ocean, one in the city, one in the country and possibly a few more around the globe to have all my decorating and self styling schemes. I'm rotating through decor ideas like I do my wardrobe; bouncing between boho, polished, classic, vintage and sometimes even hippie chic. The trend for this month when it comes to my decor, outfits and accessories is definitely "nomadic" but hopefully I'll settle into a decor decision and keep the bouncing amongst my clothing and accessories. So much decisive planning is involved in my daily work that I come home and make zero decisions about my creations, ideas and innovations for my daily off-work life. Always a pleasant day's work, though :)

Words of Sound

One of my personal favorites come from down under! I first heard Temper Trap back in 2008 at AFI (American Film Institute) Festival. It was an instant love connection with this Aussie band. I remedy the pulsating guitar beats and the range of vocal tones that I only try to attempt in the car with my volume on high. This is a band that I hoped would be kept a secret, honestly, I wanted them to have their big break but I so desperately wanted them to stay low-key so I could selfishly get tickets to all their shows. Not to my surprise they have taken Australia, Britain and the United State by storm. Taking home award after award and might I mention two ARIA Awards, the 'Best Group' and Most Popular Single for Sweet Disposition. Now that the secret is out I hope you invest in a brilliant band that undeniably deserves a fan base of the most sound savvy followers.
